Better Corfu Committee


Better Corfu is a new committee of local residents dedicated to making Corfu a better place to live, play, and work.

Together we can make our community beautiful!


The Better Corfu members are:

Larry Reisdorf – Co-Chair
Mark Zimmerman – Secretary
Jessica Doktor – Committee Organizer


Our meetings are held:

  • First Thursday of Each Month at Pembroke Community Center


We are looking for volunteers for all events, follow us on our Facebook page for upcoming events!

The village wide yard sales will take place in the village of Corfu on Saturday June 5th, and Sunday June 6th 10am – 2pm.

We will put together a list of all those involved.

This will be open to residents outside the village as well.

Invitation to the Better Corfu Committee Survey

The Village invites you to participate in a survey which we hope will add helpful input to the Better Corfu Committee.

Please see the following link or visit the Corfuny.com webpage.  Click ‘News and Events’ and then click ‘Better Corfu Bulletin Board’ to find the link.

You can also find a paper copy of the survey at the Village Office.   The deadline for completing the survey, or dropping it at the Village office is May 14th.

Village Christmas Tree Decorating Order Form 2020

This great fundraiser has now started. The goal is to light up the Village of Corfu with Trees on everyone’s front yard or porch. This will coincide with the lighting of the tree at the Presbyterian Church(details to come). These trees are available on a first come, first serve basis. Sending in a check does NOT guarantee at tree.

The trees are Douglas fir, they have soft needles, about 1 inch in length.

The trees are cut trees, not rooted trees that can be replanted.

Autumn in the Village official map. Center Street food truck will also be on site. Come join us for a fun and safe Halloween event.

2020 Village Scarecrow Contest

Help us bring the village alive with the spirit of the season by creating a unique scarecrow to display during our inaugural Autumn in the Village celebration!

Design a custom scarecrow to display in front of your home from October 24 – November 1. They can be attached to a mailbox or in front of the house (please do not attach them to road signs or light poles). Scarecrows must be made in good taste and weather-resistant.

Participants must maintain the scarecrow while on display.

Better Corfu - Adopt A Pot

Better Corfu is a new committee of local residents dedicated to making Corfu a better place to live, play and work. Our first project is a flower pot adoption program. The committee will be placing planters filled with flowers around the village and is offering the opportunity to show your local pride by sponsoring a pot! Each sponsorship is $20, and your pot will be marked with your name.

The pots will be put in place by Memorial Day, May 25, 2020.
